Wedding – Alex and Paul at Albert’s Worsley

Wedding – Alex and Paul at Albert’s Worsley

The groom looks to the distance as he awaits the arrival of his bride

Alex and Paul originally contacted me via the Hitched platform and we soon arranged a telephone call to go through the details of their wedding celebrations, starting with a ceremony at All Saint’s Church in Sale and to be their Albert’s Worsley photographer afterwards. The call went well but I didn’t hear from the couple afterwards when I sent a follow-up message. This is fairly common as many prospective couples worry about contacting a supplier with bad news. It’s never personal, so I just moved onto my next enquiries as is normal, but they contacted me 3 months later to see if I was still available to cover their date.

With the booking made, I arranged to meet them in person to go through the details of their requirements. They were originally planning on my ‘essentials’ package which covers 2 hours, but because they were travelling between Sale and Worsley, I advised that they book for a third hour to take the rush out of their coverage time. They hadn’t considered the travel time until this point so promptly went ahead with my suggestion. It turns out they had booked another photographer, but having met with them they weren’t getting the right sort of vibes, so made the decision to come to me instead. I’m happy to report that they did get the right sort of vibes from me and we left the meeting with them feeling relaxed and confident for their day ahead.

The happy couple make a toast together in the front seat of a camper van

Their day arrived and the weather was beautiful. Alex arrived at All Saint’s Church in a beautiful VW Type 2 Camper Van and made her way up the aisle holding on to her father’s arms. Upon hearing the entrance music, Paul became a little emotional and had to wipe a tear or two away from his eyes, but he managed to compose himself before the priest started their wedding service. With the service done and dusted, we made our way outside the church for the confetti shot before making the 30-minute journey to Albert’s Worsley where we created some portraits inside and outside the camper van.

We also did some more creative portraits inside the restaurant, as well as candid photography of their guests and some formal group shots. With that, our time was up and we left Alex and Paul to continue their celebrations in the sunshine. Despite the short timeframe, we managed to capture some amazing images that will provide a lifetime of memories for the happy couple.
