Following on from last year’s CV Show at the NEC in Birmingham, I was invited to shoot again at this year’s show. Not only for the guys at Nationwide Transport Breakdown Services (who I shot for at last year’s show), but also for the Ann Savva Group who provided two teams of Brand Ambassadors for the combined Citroen and Peugeot stand.
The journey to the NEC is straight forward by train and once I’d grabbed my pass I made my way into the show which sprawls over 3 halls and runs for 4 days. Day one was assigned to the Citroen / Peugeot stand. There were plenty of opportunities to grab images of exhibitors and visitors mingling together and the day allowed for a good variety throughout the day.
Once the day’s shooting had finished I headed across to see the team from NTBS who kindly provided hotel accommodation for me, not to mention some great food, a couple of drinks and great company while we watched the football match on television – thank you to them for their hospitality! An early start to the following morning began with a full English breakfast to fuel me up for my second day’s shooting.
It’s always great to work with familiar faces and to get introduced to one or two new ones. The team at NTBS really know their stuff and their customer service is second to none. Their stand attracted a lot of new visitors along with a steady stream of existing customers who you could see they had a great working relationship with.
The two days seemed to fly by and the train journey home seemed to be the longest part of the whole experience but I enjoyed creating memories for both my clients. Building and maintaining relationships with my clients is important and I look forward to more of the same in the years ahead.
